How To Disable Facebook Video Autoplay

Automatically playing every video that appearing on our timeline is somewhat annoying. Not to mention the wastage of bandwidth, especially for those who have a limited internet plan. Facebook have enabled this video autoplay option by default in its mobile application. Its also there in web version too. You can disable Facebook video autoplay to stop loading the video automatically and save some bandwidth. Also you will be less annoyed



How to disable Facebook video autoplay on web

  • Click on the top right corner arrow and select “Settings”
  • On the left hand side, click on “Videos”
  • Now you can see video settings. Simply select “Off” for auto-play videos

How to disable Facebook video autoplay on mobile

  • On your Facebook app, open settings. (In android phones, its available as “App settings”)
  • Select “Videos”
  • Tap on “Autoplay” in the video settings and turn it off

Now videos from Facebook will never start to play automatically again.
